Adjust graphics quality video option?

I'd like to see a video option to lower and/or adjust the graphics quality....

It's pretty amazing that there is only 1 setting available.

I think the appropriate response to this is "DAY-um!"

Unfortunately, I'm off for the night, or I'd help you figure out what's going on. It might be a technical issue, rather than your graphics card specifically. Check out some of the stickied "announcement" threads at the top of this forum; I think there's some answers in there.

Pretty sure it's my graphics card...the game loads and runs seemingly fine until it hits randomly hits a freezing point in which I can't even Ctrl Alt Del or Alt F4. I got all the way to Montaron before it started crashing regularly on me.

I'm just going to cry myself to sleep tonight and try to forget about this game until I can afford a new computer :(

    Whats your PC specification?
  • EnterHaerDalisEnterHaerDalis Member Posts: 813
    Processor:Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHz (2 CPUs)
    Memory:3070MB RAM
    Hard Drive:154 GB
    Video Card:RADEON X600 256MB HyperMemory
    Operation System:Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.120504-1619)

The video card is what's killing me. The crashing isn't even generous... at least let me Ctrl Alt Del I'm so damn sick of manually rebooting lol

Nothing wrong with that video card for running this game, its much better than a geforce 2. Something is likely to be unstable or failing due to the age of the system.

Really? Could of sworn it would be the video card....

It still could be your graphics card, even though it should be able to run it. Try changing the game setting in the .ini so that it uses a lesser version of 3D (check these forums). I know how you feel because I also haven't been able to play the game yet :(

The file named 'Baldur' in the folder is an application and not an .ini

Damn I think it's official that my PC can't run the game :(

I must have let it freeze my computer over 25 times zzzz

Not sure if you can set some things with the Cataclysm-tool? I've used the nVidia control settings to enhance my visuals a bit (ROLF 16xQAA now)
