Way to Remove Default NPCs from Import?

Is there a way to remove the default NPCs from the import screen? If so how?

    nope

    the only thing you can do is overwrite them with your own characters

    rumor has it that even if you were to delete them it actually messes the game up

    WHY on earth beamdog did this, is way beyond me
