unexpected error has occurred

Ok my brother has downloaded this game and we are trying to play together but on his pc he gets "unexpected error has occurred" then it says to check online to fix it. It doesn't give a error message other then this and the game will not run. He has windows 7 same as my pc anyone know how to fix this??

    I am having the same issue, my PC specs:

    Alienware m18x
    Windows 7 Home Premium
    Dual Radeon 6990m's in crossfire
    2nd gen i7 (not sure of the exact model, the 2.2ghz to 3.2ghz model i believe)


    Application is in the system process list but never comes up (this happens after clicking play on the launcher). Another time I tried to launch from steam (as a non steam app) and it crashed pretty quick after pressing play.
