Courteous Magocracy for RDD?

Hi,

Returning to the game after 10 years or something like that (first time playing the EE).

I was wondering whether the Courteous Magocracy 1st level feat (+2 bonus lore and spellcraft checks) actually helps to reach the prereqs for Red Dragon Disciple earlier (Bard/Sorcerer and 8 lore) or is it a wasted feat?

I used to know stuff like this, but I forgot everything it seems.

Also, if I'm in the wrong forum, sorry, I often get lost in all the beamdog forums.

    I might be wrong, but I'm 90% sure that skill prerequisites for prestige classes look at actual skill points you've placed in the skill, not your final total, so Courteous Magocracy would not help with reaching the pre-reqs for RDD.

    I assumed as much, and also came to the conclusion that the feat probably was a waste even if it would have worked.
