Trying to go to the Shade Lord complex

Hi, I am in Umar Hills and have gotten Mazzy's note and am trying to head north to the Shade Lord dungeon complex. When I go north of the map, the other area doesn't appear.

Am I missing something?

Update: I guess I needed Marella's Journal also. Once I packed that, it opened right on up.
