You got it! Can't get the game to start

I've got an alienware 14x laptop with a Geforce GT 555m graphics card. I can't even get the game to start. I click on the exe and nothing at all happens. I've tried various compatibility settings on the BGEE exe and the baldurs exe. Nothing works. I also made sure that my graphics card is being used. At this point I don't know what to do other than just wait till a patch comes out.

Did you install through the stand-alone installer or through Beamdog?

for me the game starts but i only get a white screen, all graphics are gone! do have a cursor though and can click on the invisible buttons (but the game would be more fun when u actually can see what ur doing)
