Error retrieving Beamdog servers NWN EE 1.79

Hi

I was having trouble getting NWN: EE to update to 1.79 through GOG where I initially bought the game, so I bought another copy via Steam instead.

After downloading NWN through Steam, I can see that the fresh install is the latest 1.79 version, but now I have a different problem

Upon joining multiplayer, NWN attempts to "Request multiplayer server list", then brings up the following error:

Error retrieving https://api.nwn.beamdog.net/v1/servers SSL certificate problem: self signed certificate in certificate chain

My only option is to "Cancel" which then exits the multiplayer part of the game

Please help
