zlib and nwsync errors

When using nwsync_write to add items to a manifest i keep getting this error:
zlib.nim(236)            compress
Error: unhandled exception: zlib version mismatch! [ZlibStreamError]

running nwnserver in windows using game server manager.

running nwsync tools in the Ubuntu version of linux for windows.

any idea how to solve?
