But then you can't please everyone...

Just reading through lots of the threads in here as I am warmly anticipating the ipad release of BG. But I seem to be reading quite a lot of negative posts. It's been a long time since I have been to the original Candle Keep, but looking much forward to it. I am not sure what to expect, but have played and own all of the BG series games originals on the pc, and I know one thing... With such a massive user base that was stoked with the original BG, there is no way that you will be pleasing everyone here. It's just not possible.

I for one will take it as it comes and am more looking forward to meeting up with old friends again than anything else.

Just chill out and enjoy the game for what it is :D

Hard to enjoy the game when it can't even make it to the menu without freaking out and crashing.

@Vanne My concern isn't that the game will be bad, but my concern is that the visuals will be (cinematic, GUI, animations, paperdolls, etc). I have no doubts the game will be great.

All I can think of is all the people enjoying sitting at their computers unable to play because their game is broken.

We literally can't. That's the issue here.

yeah, no worries about the game....i know that I will enjoy it, whether the graphics are 1% better than the original or 100%

but I can't even get to the main menu which is a huuuuge problem

That's the problem with x86, so many variants with drivers and hardware and throw in there some anti virus solution and your average peecee is a bomb waiting to explode. Seems to run great on my mates peecee, no install issues or hassles..

Yeah, I'll just chill out and enjoy downloading it again, only to learn that game cannot even be launched. Get real.

The game is buggy for several people ( I had a problem but it was quickly fixed). I played only 1 hour, but got 0 problems in game so far. I believe it would be fixed in 1-2 months.

I wish you believes were wrong. Waiting another 2 month because I happen to be unlucky is a dick move. I cannot even launch the game...

Blame windows, drivers, graphic cards, even x86 architecture lol

But how can most other games be rock stable, even without patches?

I believe that in 2 months most of the bugs (major and minor) would be fixed. Major bugs related to crash must be fixed in days/one week.

I don't understand all this anger. We waited 14 goddamn years and now a couple of days make all the difference as tablet users have to patiently wait for their game to be released in the first place!

Seriously guys, try learning something from the Tablet players. They are patient, kind and behave well. All I can see here is ragequitting instead of trying to be supportive to the developer. There's been like 20 duplicate threads for every single bug in the last 20 hours. Do you think this is going to help?

I just hope the developer learns a lesson from this unpleasant feedback or they should drop any attempt to "enhance" BG2 or, god-forbids, PS:T
