BG2: EE / Throne of Bhaal - romance - new game/no save from BG:SOA - possible?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Hi,
will romances start normally in BG2: EE Throne of Bhaal if I start new game, not based on saves from BG2: SoA?
If not, is there a way to trigger them by editing saves? What values should I set if I would like to artificially resume romance with Viconia. Thanks for any help!

    im going to start with; no

    if you start a ToB fresh the aerie/jaheira/viconia/anomen romances will not start ( not sure about the EE companions, probably the same boat though )

    now when it comes to affected variables and such to get them going, at this time i haven't been able to find it yet, so hopefully someone can come in and help out? if not, perhaps i will do some more digging in the future to find out
