Neverwinter Nights EE Nintendo Switch Character Creation Issue

So today I finished Neverwinter Nights EE on the Nintendo Switch and decided to do a second playthrough as another class. The problem I am having everytime I manually create my character upon loading into the game the character is the wrong Class , Race and sometimes Gender.

I tried to create a Male and Female Generalist Wizard 5 times now and every time the game started into the prelude or chapter 1 the created character was instead brought in as, an Orc Barbarian , Gnome Illusionist , Human Ranger , Elf Rogue , Human Paladin. I made sure to double check that im not selecting a premade character to.

Is this a bug or is there maybe an option or button on the switch controller I accidentally pressed to cause this?
