Can't see sale prices

Whenever I go to purchase something, I can't see the prices listed; all it reads is "ITEMCOST" next to the item. This is a major annoyance and I feel I've exhausted all the options I can think of. Specifics:
Install new drivers (Raedon HD 5400)
reinstall (haha...)
check baldur.ini
Also I installed the game just in the C:/ drive. I think there is a simple solution, but I have fallen and can't get up. This doesn't happen just in Candlekeep but I assume everywhere else after I visited The Friendly Arm.
Assistance would be awesomely met.
