I cannot believe they managed to fail with a product older than my dog - my dog is OLD

I cannot possibly explain through mere words how much I wanted this to succeed. As most of you, I haven't been able to find a proper experience in the new "rpgs" (hmm, enjoyed Dragon Age to some extent).

The simple fact that apparently I am unable to actually increase the speed of the game (like we were able to do by increasing the fps - the .ini doesn't work for me), pretty much made me quit the game.

It's possible I didn't find it and you guys might be able to indicate where one could find such option.

Until I can increase the speed of the game, I won't even bother with it.

For the rest of you, I recommend Big World (even the lite package) as I am sure most of you have the original Baldur's Gate games.

  • You cannot judge a games success or failure within the first 24 hours of its release. Yes, many people are having problems- largely hardware based. However to exclude all of those who are not, for example, every single one of my friends who bought it; is just silly. For every one of us with a problem, there are many who don't have one.

I think they should be congratulated for managing to out do Bethesda by releasing a RPG even more buggy than Skyrim. Got to give the customers the entire CRPG experience right?

The speed issue is the same for me. Until they can do what BG2 and Throne did with the frame rate then I'll just wait. Playing at 30 is like watching a snail cross a highway.

First of all, this is not a new "game". I am not judging the "game" as it was judged when the lizards walked on two legs with flaming scimitars in their hands.

Second, of course I can judge a game by the launch and the number of giant bugs.

Nobody is running around the internet screaming how "Loki" was a very good game despite the humongous quantity of experience breaking issues.

30 fps frame lock. What else was "enhanced"?

In my opinion they haven't "failed". I've come pretty far (Just broke out of prison) and only encountered a few bugs so far, none game-breaking. I guess I'm used to older games, because the speed doesn't bother me at all. Though, I have Haste on my wizard which speed the party up if I need it ;). It's a matter of personal preference I guess, but to say that the game has failed is just wrong (imho).
