Voicesets and button sounds not working

Just started a new game in the development build via beamdog client and none of the button sounds (ie New Game) or the voicesets from NPCs or Players seems to be working. I can still hear the music though. I loaded a Steam game just to make sure and all button sounds and voicesets seem to be working fine there. Then loaded up the development build again and still no sound.
