[Potential Bug] Experience seems to permanently lost after level drain status is removed

Before my companion got level drained, he required 3150 XP to level up.

After he got level drained, he continued to defeat many enemies with the rest of the party (and therefore was supposed to gain a certain amount of XP). But after his level drain status was removed, he now requires 7088 XP to level up.

That shows XP seems to permanently lost after level drain status is removed.

I found a bug report concerning the same issue in BG2EE.

Has anyone seen the same issue in SOD?
