Frennedan quest unfinished

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
In Irenicus' Dungeon I grabbed the key and freed and killed Frennedan quickly (was hasted at the time). He said all of his dialogue when I opened the door, I got the XP and left.

Later on after the circus tent I noticed the quest is unfinished. It says I still need to find the key and let him out.

I hate having things incomplete. Is there any way to force this quest to be finished on my journal?

    Can't you just ignore it?

    If you insist on having to complete it, you can probably just goggle BG2 creature codes find his code, respawn him and then talk to him again to ''release him''.

    Are you using any mods? Specifically one for UI?
