ability selecting freezes up

in General Modding
i dont know what is causing this but everytime i go into the star button to select more abilities for my characters, it freezes up, like it can move mouse, but i cant click, HOWEVER, when i alt tab out, it then does whatever i click. when i get back in, it freezes up again until i alt tab again. does anyone know if this is a mod issue and what mod is causing this trouble?
