is there an experience point cap in bg ee or totsc ee?

    Yes. I don't remember what it is, but you'll hit the BG/tosc cap pretty easily if you play at all completionist. There's several mods that remove the cap though.

    i was under the impression that the ps4 version puts it all together in one game, and my hope is that there is no cap except 8 million...

    They are separate games. The XP cap on BGEE is 161,000. For Siege of Dragonspear (if you have that) it's 500,000.
