One of the party is missing their save

Recently one of our multiplayer party has had their PC reformatted and lost all NWN EE saves. So no local .bic file.
When we tried to host our weekly online session of Aielund saga they couldn't join as there is no local character for the server to recognise. Is there any way of "extracting" the character from the server save? I may not be phrasing the question tehcnically correctly but someone must have some idea or experience of this?
