steam issue - game running but nothing happens

all the links to the old thread are no longer active and I can't get the steam game to work. It launches, is running as a process but nothing shows up. Its the most current build from steam. It seems to not be creating the NWN folder in the document folder. Any assistance with this would be appreciated.

    Could be something like antivirus preventing changes to your documents folder.
