Question on Kits and EE Keeper

I was planning on Starting my game off as a Kensai, then dueling into Thief, and using EE Keeper to change the Thief to Swashbuckler. But then I read that you can only have one Kit through EE Keeper, and to give the second class it's Kit, you need to have none of the first? Is that correct, or can you do it the way I thought you could?

    You can only have one kit. You can have a kit and give your character the effects of the other kit anyway, but that's kind of blatantly cheating.

    Also, dual-classing into Swashbuckler has serious problems. Swashbucklers are supposed to be able to specialize in melee weapons and master two-weapon fighting ... nope, not until you get your fighter levels back. Swashbucklers are supposed to lose their backstabs ... nope, not unless you avoid using backstab-capable weapons.
    Just settle for the incredible synergy of a Kensai-Thief instead and wreck your opponents with enormous backstabs.
