Stop the NPC chatter

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Is there a mod or setting a can turn on to stop or reduce the random sayings from the companions. Not romances or banter, but the random stuff that sometimes they spam out. I wish I could increase the timer of those events to once an hour instead of every 2 minutes.
