Shade Lich not appearing.

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I ran into an issue with the Restore Kangaxx’s Body quest. I ran into this issue when I was doing the Unseeing Eye quest. I clicked on the sarcophagus to make the shade lich appear and while it said that I needed to defeat the sarcophagus’s guardian, the lich never showed up.
