BG Drawing(s?)

So I'm slowly learning how to draw and shade and color and all of these difficult things. It probably doesn't look great now, but here's hoping I'll become better in the future...

Here's one to start. "I... I won't let my friends be hurt!"

And a slightly earlier attempt where I'm focusing more on face and completely ignore color:

Another one, more or less to try to figure out armor/metal than anything else. It wasn't a complete success, but good for a first attempt I think.
