Time Passed skipping ahead when saving, breaking quests

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
For example, my save game says 40 days, 20 hours, but when I load it skipped to Day 44, hour 2, and when I save it goes straight to 68 days! Also, I can no longer quick save, and nothing is preventing the program from writing to My Documents. What is going on here?!

    This is STILL occuring, even on a completely new installation.
