Save Sync to iPad at Launch?

I realize the iPad version is delayed, but if we can sync saves when it launches, I'll purchase the PC version now and get playing immediately.

    Not automatically, they said Cloud saves would be a post-launch feature. You can, however, manually copy your PC save file to the appropriate location on the iPad and resume play. Apparently.

    Hmmm...to buy, or not to buy...manual transfer is fine for me, but will it work...
