Trouble when keyboard comes up (amazon fire 10)

When I try to divide up potions or ammo, the keyboard will come up and my game will freeze.
When I try to write over an old save and the keyboard comes up, my game will freeze.
When I try to save a new game and the keyboard comes up, it saves as normal.
This is odd, and I’d chalk it up to me adding the Google play store onto my fire tablet, when it’s not supposed to be there, but I did this for months on an Amazon fire 7 tablet and things worked perfectly fine.
It’s not something that’s insurmountable, it’s just an annoying glitch.
I’d be very happy for any advice to get around it.
