Traps in this game.

I’m considering completely forgoing having a thief in the party.

I can get by with a high STR guy bashing chests and using the knock spell.

My question is, especially in HoF mode, are there any traps that are especially deadly?

Or will I be ok tanking them?

I’m patient and level 11 bards can help the party tank all damage.

    Aside from a few random traps that are potential one-shot kills, casting things like Slay Living, you can probably safely tank all the traps in the game.

    also traps to watch out for in chapter 2 and 3 are traps that will poison, confuse and disease your characters, so make sure to have plenty of elixirs of health around for those ( i believe oswald has an infinite supply of those )

    A rabbit familiar can disarm a fair amount of the traps in IWDEE. You can also boost their abilities with a luck spell and (maybe) Cat's Grace as well...

    Edit: Almost forgot to mention the bard song Tymora's Melody gives a boost to a rabbit's thief abilities too.

    The only traps to worry over are in dragon's eye 5 and the hand of the seldarine

    they are all avoidable or tankable otherwise
