Application Error

Trying to launch the game from loader surprisingly does nothing, but baldur.exe gives an error message:
The application was unable to start correctly(0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.


That error code has something to do with disk images and visual studio... Uninstalled all visual ++ runtimes and reinstalled them, then chkdsk'd all HD's and so-on. Still nothing.

Any help would be appriciated.
