Killed the imprisoned Lich in Underdark

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Hey ,I just killed the impisoned Lich Alchera something in Underdark .
The problem is I killed him without initiating the dialogue .
The journal didn’t update about being careful about releasing the imprisoned souls .
Did I break something or miss some story element?

    No larger story element. He's just an enemy you can either fight or avoid.
