Icewind Dale Steam Achievements Not Unlocking

in Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition
I just beat the game with a single character on story mode and neither of the achievements for doing so unlocked. Is there a known issue about this or what? What's going on, why doesn't it work?

    sometimes yes

    this also used to happen if you beat the game on HoF mode as well

    for some of these achievements if you ever closed the game and reopened it, it would disable the achievement from happening

    so if you legitimately completed those achievements then i would just do this;
    start a new game with 1 character
    put it on story mode
    warp to the last boss area via console;
    C:MoveToArea("AR1105")

    then go through the banter
    then as soon as the fight begins, crtl+y the last boss
    and then let all the movies and ending go by, and it should unlock the achievements
