Drawbridge Problems

I'm trying to recreate the Friendly Arm inn with the toolset using the Castle Exterior, Rural area type. I figured out how to place drawbridges (really wish it placed all the neccesarily pieces for me). The problem is that when I walk through the passable drawbridge I get bugged out and warped on top of the gate. Does anybody have a work around that prevents this from happening? I don't think any of the other area types are appropriate for what I'm aiming for.
