Hi,
I have installed a plenty of mods, and i have noticed a new mage's spell, which i would like to remove,
because it is too powerful and ruins game balance - DaerRagh Aura Cleansing of level 4.
I deleteted scroll with this spell in override, now it can't be dropped by enemies or bought in a shop. But sorcerers
can still learn it at certain level. Is there any way to delete the spell itself? NearInfinity doesn't let it.

with Near Infinity go to the "Edit" tab of the spell and for spell type change it to "Special (0)" and then go down a few lines and where it says Spell Level change that to 0

that should make it so it doesn't show up in a sorcerer's spell book

another thing you can try is go into the IDS folder and select SPELL.IDS and in the 2400s is level 4 wizard spells, no doubt it will be in there somewhere and you can try deleting that line and that should help get rid of that spell

    or

if you go to the SPL folder and go down into the: SPWI4xx.SPL
it might be there as well, if so delete that one to

also this spell is legitimately in the game as well, but i doubt they are using the default resource, but if for some reason they are, the actual spell resource is; MARW401

which can't be deleted but again you could try setting Spell level to 0 and Spell type to Special (0)

The simplest way to have a spell not show up as an option for sorcerers is to put it in HIDESPL.2da. For example, consider the vanilla spell Dimension Door - it has a scroll (SCRL1V), it has a code in the right range (SPWI402), but you can't pick it because of its entry there.

    Thanks! I'll try!

Out of curiosity, what happens to NPC scripts if they are supposed to cast a spell that has been deleted from the game?
