Kagain's Quest

I seem to remember in vanilla BG it was impossible to complete Kagain's quest. Has this been fixed? If so, how do you do it?

    Go to the Lions Way zone. It's the one directly north of beregost and directly south of Friendly Arm. That's it. He should say something akin to "There's too many wrecked caravans around here, lets go do whatever you wanna do" and the quest is completed.

    Yes, I already got that. But the quest is still in the quest journal marked as active, same thing as in BG1. If you had the Unfinished Business mod you could walk over to one of the caravans and Kagain would have a conversation about it and end the quest, but no such thing happens here.

    I have no clue then. I do know that after you go to the lions way zone he wont ever leave because you didn't complete the quest on time.
