Nintendo switch BG:SOD save import to BG2

I can import my character only using the import saved character when you start a new game.

The import save file functions are broken. From the main menu or from the new game it just causes the software to crash out to the Nintendo screen.

Please can someone advise if using saved character will import correctly?

For beamdog, please can you fix this ? If it’s not meant to work can you not Grey out the menu ?
