What is the correct level to dual-class Imoen to mage?

I recall it being 6 or 7 in the original BG1, but I can't remember which specifically.

    There is no "correct" level, but 5 or 6 is usually okay if you've maxed Find Traps and have decent Open Locks

    level 4 if you want to max Find Traps and get some open locks and rely on the spell Knock to open any other locks.

    Ye, no right or wrong way of doing it, I said 7 as I believe that's "canon"? (BG2)

    Either way, 5-7 sounds good.

    Level 7 will allow her to reach level 8 as a mage, right?

    I dont know, but she can be 6/9 if I remember correctly.
