NWN:EE Initiative during spell casting

Is initiative roll used to determine the order in which spellcasters cast their spells?
How often this roll is made?
The wiki: https://nwn.fandom.com/wiki/Initiative states it doesn't matter during casting at all - is this still valid?

    In tabletop, yes, initiative determines when in the round spellcasters get to act. I'm not sure how it works for NWN though. You definitely want to have Haste on you however, as in NWN 1 Haste speeds up your spellcasting (by right it shouldn't, but it does in the game), and it often makes a crucial difference in combat.
