Freeze/Crash on Startup

I've downloaded the game on both the Beamdog Client and the standalone and both installs see the game freezing as soon as I launch it. I never get past a black screen.

I'm running this on Windows 7 with Geforce GTX 670M. Any help would be very appreciated.

    Try to start it in windowed mode - add 'Program Options', 'Full Screen', '0',
    into baldur.ini

    You can also try to hit alt-enter to switch to and from full screen (if the game is still alive this helps).

    If you are in windowed mode and the window is partially on screen, drag it completely on-screen. This helped me.

    Other than that, full upgrade of BGEE and your graphics drivers can help.
