Issues with Baldur's Gate 2 2.6 - Can't launch game anymore

With the recent patch I can't get the game to launch anymore. I tested this with Steam, GOG and the BEAMDOG client. In all cases I can play the game with any version before 2.6 but none of them with 2.6.
When I try to launch the game with baldur.exe I get the application error that states "The application was unable to start correctly (0x000007b)." I have a Windows 10 64x operatin system. I tried doing the openAL thing by clicking on oalinst.exe but that didn't do anything. I also downloaded the openal32 and 64 dll files and put them in the game folder but that did nothing.
Does anyone know what I could do to get the game working again with the most recent patch?
