[Mod Help] Gnoll Stronghold Fission Slime/Aaron.

Eddard_StarkEddard_Stark Member Posts: 52
I know that I need help with some modded features rather than vanilla features. My problem with the Fission Slime makes the quest “A Failed Picnic,” literally unplayable as whenever I first enter the area, Aaron is immediately killed by the Fission Slime that spawns within the some exact pit on the other side of the map.

I am playing in IPhone so I do not have console commands.

It would probably help if you specified which mod or mods are involved. Neither the fission slime nor Aaron are present in the vanilla game; are they added by the same mod, or by two different mods? And again, which one(s)?
  • Eddard_StarkEddard_Stark Member Posts: 52
I am pretty sure that Aaron and the quest “A Failed Picnic” is either part of Ascalon’s Questpack or Miniquests and Encounters.

I have absolutely no idea what mod the Fission Slime is from because most mods don’t believe random encounters should have their own component when installed.

If you know how to get console commands on IPhone, please can you please let me know as I really do not want to start a new game.

How do I get rid of the fission slime without getting rid of the mod?
  • Eddard_StarkEddard_Stark Member Posts: 52
Which CRE file in the override is the game breaking creature?
  • GraionDilachGraionDilach Member Posts: 594
It might not be in override, because this is a creature added by Beamdog to the game. It's probably supposed to be encountered during one of new EE companions' questline.

I've exported and renamed the cow from the game to override it, so place the cre in this 7z to override, that should "fix" it.
  • GiovanskiGiovanski Member Posts: 13
Another easy fix would be to simply set Aaron's status as "neutral" using EE Keeper or Near Infinity so that enemies of the party will ignore him.
  • Eddard_StarkEddard_Stark Member Posts: 52
What cow was it that you renamed?

How do I use EE Keeper on IPhone?

I did what you asked with the bdpuddbI file and it did not work. I tried it on a save before discovering the Gnoll Stronghold. It did not work.

I managed to find my own solution as well as finding the cow in your solution in the wrong pit.

I explored the Gnoll Stronghold and killed the Fission Slime before accepting the quest.
