Male Character vs Girdle of Gender vs Hexxat

Greetings.

If Girdle of Gender be used on Protagonist (male--->female) in BG2EE
will there be a possibility to start a romance with Hexxat?

And if "yes" - will the romance continue after Girdle of Gender wear off?

    The gender checks in the BG2(EE) romances all check current gender, without regard to items such as the girdle or spell effects such as a certain wild surge. If you are currently female, you count as female for romance purposes no matter what you started as.

    For the four original Bioware romance options (Aerie, Anomen, Jaheira, Viconia), a variable ****Match is set if player 1 ever meets the romance's conditions, whether that character is in the party or not. Once that is set, the romance can begin ... even if player 1 doesn't meet the conditions at any time that the romantic partner is in the party. I once used EEKeeper to edit a character in the starting dungeon; one of the changes I made was to turn a female character into a male one. That character went on to simultaneously romance both Aerie and Anomen, to completion. Without ever changing gender again.

    For the four Beamdog romance options (Dorn, Hexxat, Neera, Rasaad), the key variable is ****RomanceCheck. That is set, and the romance started, if player 1 meets the conditions and the partner is in the party.

    In all cases, the protagonist only needs to meet prerequisites like gender and race once. After that, they can be whatever. If your character is ever female with Hexxat in the party at the same time, that romance starts. And after that, the character doesn't need to stay female.

    Have a couple of questions about this one:

    1. The Girdle of Gender really change a gender in character's list?
    (not just appearance?)
    2. If so, then I need to wear it on, start a romance with Hexxat, after that - Girdle of Gender no longer needed, right?

    You can also change your gender on EEKeeper, have the romance start and then change it back.
