How do I cast spells from magic items?

My version is Android and I found a ring which has a spell to cast per day. How do I cast it? It seems I can't even equip it to my quickslot like scrolls

As it's a ring, you have to wear it in a ring slot to use it.

There should be a button on the main action bar with a backpack icon once you put it on; this allows you to select from abilities cast by non-quickslot items. If you have no items with abilities of that sort, the button will be greyed out.
