Playing with minimal required stats (>9)

(After Black Pits II) the beginning of SoA seems too easy, even on LoB. ? My new idea is to put minimal stats. However, I don't like stats <10. So I decided to put 10 unless the minimal requirement is higher.

So, in the new game, my Dwarven Defender has
STR=12, CON=16, DEX=INT=WIS=CHA=10. ?

However, I don't think that it will complicate the game in any essential manner. It would be just nifty to increase STR and DEX during battles. ⚔️

Any feedback? ?

This self-restriction saves the time spent on re-rolling. LoL ?

So that's a stat total of 68. The stat rolling screen won't ever give you a total of less than 75. You have points to throw away here. (You don't have to assign them)

The minimum stat idea I've played with in my head is the 75-point elven ranger. 70 points of that are the mandatory minima 13/13/14/8/14/8, which just leaves you with five discretionary points to work with. Do you want 18 strength or 18 dexterity? Because you can't have both.

The minimum stats thing is an interesting idea. Filing this away for later.

Yes, indeed, I've thrown away 7+ rolling points. ??

Doing a minimum stats run for BG2. I, uh, don't know how well I followed the spirit of it though. I tend to run an approximation of the 1st edition bard as a F/M/T. I looked up the min stats, and uh, 15/15/10/12/15/15. Whoops. My next class choice should be more interesting. Having 33hp in BG2 was pretty wild though. And the Claw of Kazgoroth...

While it's totally fine to play with underwhelming stats, I'm not sure it serves the intended purpose. You find the game too easy and - as you said it yourself - bad stats don't make a huge difference if you know how to compensate. Again, there's nothing wrong with playing LoB but I don't see it as a serious challenge, rather something silly and over the top for fun. It's just my opinion though.

I'd advise a more creative way to increase the difficulty with a RP approach, such as:

    - Playing someone that possesses such hatred for magic that he refuses to use it altogether, personally or within a group. If you're up for it, you can extend that hatred to all magic, not just arcane. You can also refuse to use magical gear plus magical weapons unless it's absolutely necessary to counter an immunity to normal weapons.
    - Refusing to exploit the fog of war, i.e. letting ALL the enemies of a group see you before attacking them. That way you don't take them one by one as we are often tempted to. ;)
    - You can solo, obviously, but it's going to be a LOT harder if you dive in the aforementioned suggestions.

Lots of possibilities out there, I'm just pointing out a few of them.

Here U have described the roleplaying of Wizard Slayer kit. ?

Ahah. I actually mentioned it before editing because it was a broader description than just the Wizard Slayer. ;)

Note that the wizard slayer does use magic weapons and can work with mages or even dual class to one, unlike what I said!
