Kagain's Quest (Spoilers)

Hey friends -

I want to ensure I do Kagain's quest properly this time. After the 2.6 patch, does it still hang in your quest log forever if you find the caravan? Will Kagain's quest close? Any advice is appreciated for this new playthrough. Spoilers welcome. Thanks!

    From the 2.6 patch notes:
    Fixed an issue when Kagain finally sees the destroyed caravan, and the player interrupts his dialog, that the journal entry would never close.

    The quest still ends there, but it should close properly when he pays you.
