Rhino shield & upgrades. Why bother?

Apart from trying to complete everything is there point in in the Rhino Shield and its upgrades. Even with both upgrades it looks to be the same as Mystery of the Dead from Nym which is significantly cheaper

    If you bring the non-upgraded shield from Dirty Llew to Orrick, he can make it stronger than Nym can. With Orrick's upgrades, it is a nice shield if you have multiple shield users.

    Also, Rhino shield is one of the few shields (or even the only one apart from bucklers?) that single-class druids can use since it is not made from metal.
