Windows 8 - game doesn't work....

My husband has a new Dell computer. I bought the game for both myself and my husband so we can play together. It installed fine on my pc, but when I installed the game on my husbands pc (windows 8), when I go to launch the game his pc says...

"Baldurs Gate Enhanced Edition has stopped working. The problem has caused the program to stop working correctly, windows will close he program."

Does the game work on windows 8? I did have some trouble downloading it initially - turned pc off and downloaded it from where I left off, is it possible to download it again?

Any assistance is appreciated.

    Same thing happens to me! Windows 8 Pro 64 bit, 8G memory, Intel i7-3610QM CPU, NVIDIA GTX660M. Looking forward to a solution.

    I would email support@beamdog.com if I were you. You may not get an answer back tonight (a non-automated answer that is), I suppose it depends on whether or not they have a fix for you, but at least you will have a support ticket created and they can talk to you through any fixes they may have come up with.

    Problem fixed! Here's what I did.

    Open NVIDIA control panel, manage 3D settings, choose "Program Settings" and add X:\Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition\00766\Baldur.exe manually, then choose "High-performance NVIDIA processor" to run this program.

    The game works fine on my brand new computer DELL windows 8. BUT, yes, there is a bug!
    I'm trying to play with some friends. And...
    -we can't sleep because it crash the game...
    -we can't be more than 2 because it also crash the game..
    -it's boring!! spending all night trying to connect one, then another. Then we change the ordre. We change the host... nothing works..
    Please someone... Help us!!
