3d Modeling & Animation Tools for NWN EE

Could someone point me to free versions of a "starter package", for 3d modeling for Neverwinter. I'm a complete novice - keeping that in mind.

    Purely because it is still supported, open source, free and used by a lot of people in the community the modelling program to use is Blender. There is one catch however. In order to actually get your models to work in NwN you need an addon/plugin to blender - Neverblender 2.8. Like Blender, this is also maintained.
