Kicked out of the game!

I am in Alvanhendar's place in Gullykin. When I hit the "Buy", "Donate", "Buy and Sell" or "Identify" buttons it takes me to another open program entirely. Talking to Alvanhendar does the same. I am running Windows 11 on a brand-new Dell desktop I received just yesterday.
Just checked my 3 year old Windows 10 laptop and there is no problem there.
Can someone please help?
