New phone can't add mods

I recently got a Pixel 6 and tried installing the usual mods I use, but trying to add an override folder to the user folder in com.beamdog.nwnandroid files directory gives me an access denied every time. No other game from any other developer does this. Only this folder.
I've tried renaming the beamdog folder and creating my own and copying the data files, but then it crashes as soon as I hit the new game button.
