EEKeeper Won't Run In OSX / MacOS (Monterey)

HI, I have downloaded the wine wrapped version of EE Keeper from AstroBryGuy's Github page, and extracted okay but when I run it (and I have secondary clicked it, and select the "Open" option, to remove Mac malware block) nothing happens - so I assume its crashing or something else is blocking it? Appreciate any suggestions/guidance. I'm running a new MacBook Pro with 12.4.
Also in OSX / MacOS is there any recommended directory to put the extracted EEKeeper app directory in when there is no install routine (e.g. is it safe to put in users/username/applications or similar so as not to have it in amongst document folders and similar.
I've done a quick search here but couldn't easily find anything referring to this issue previously? I've got good IT experience (with Windows) and user experience (with iOS devices) but am fairly new to Mac OS so still finding my way around that.
TIA.
